1. Deficiency of energy and sleepless nights are one sign. If digestion is having trouble, your metabolism for energy generation is not going as planned. Lousy bowel bacteria can rob your body from the nutrients it requires. A few toxins that should be removed are scampering into different areas of the human body and they’re up to no good.

2. Digestive Issues-  Some signs are obvious: gas, bloating, diarrhea are a few warning signs. Your good gut bacteria are struggling mightily to break down food. Some gasoline is normal, but excessive gas that causes bloating and burping is an indication of difficulty below which is a direct result of an invasion of bad germs.

9. Stubborn Weight– Those who are obese or carrying around too much weight have another ratio of intestinal bacteria from those who maintain a healthful weight. A body that’s not properly digesting and absorbing fat will find someplace to store it.

Tips to build and maintain a healthy intestine: Eat less sugar, which contributes to the growth Of bad gut bacteria; Chew food slowly, thoroughly; Stay hydrated; Undergo a gentle detox monthly to eliminate toxins; Consume more probiotic foods (or supplements).

Now we’ve only recently begun to understand the extent of the gut Flora’s role in human health and disease among other things, the gut flora promotes normal gastrointestinal function which provides protection from infection and regulates your metabolism and makes up 75 percent of your immune system.

Poor gut flora has been linked to diseases ranging from autism and depression, to autoimmune diseases and things like hash Emoto’s inflammatory bowel disease and even type 1 diabetes.

Now recent research has shown that the gut flora and the health of the gut in general, also play a massive role in an ability to lose weight. I’ve seen this with personal clients having a blood sugar issue, also has a leaky gut and some other inflammatory gut condition.

We now know that the makeup of the organisms living in your gut determines to some degree at least how your body stores the food you eat and how easy or hard it is to eliminate weight and how well your metabolism functions, but also since your gut bacteria sends more messages to your brain than your brain sends to your gut, this will also have a massive impact on your thoughts, which will have an impact on your ability to really stick with the plan that you’re on.

Let’s take a look at this a little bit more closely now. Our gut is home to approximately 100 trillion microorganisms. The human gut contains 10 times more bacteria than all the human cells in the entire body with over 500 known diverse species and 3 pounds of bacteria.

Secondly, studies found that obese people had about 20% more of a bacteria known as firma cuties and almost ninety percent less of a bacteria called bacterial deities than lean people.

Firma cuties help your body to extract calories from complex sugars and put those calories into fat. When these microbes were transplanted into normal weight, these begin to gain twice as much fat.

This is one explanation for how your microflora in your gut may play a role in weight management program. It has been found to benefit metabolic syndrome which often goes hand-in-hand with obesity. This makes sense since both are caused by a diet high in sugar and unhealthy fats which leads to insulin resistance, and to the growth of unhealthy bacteria and packs on excess weight.

Odds are that you’ve taken some antibiotics at some point in your life and the problem with antibiotics is that they wipe out your inner ecosystem and destroy key species of healthy bacteria, but in addition to that, let’s take a look at what feeds bad bacteria and kills the good bacteria.

Firstly, we’ve got poor quality and processed foods with too much sugar, including alcohol, food additives, taking anti-inflammatories on a Standard basis, too much-processed wheat consumption, chronic stress and this also includes being busy all of the time and a lack of sleep.

  1. This is such a great post! I had no idea that kimchi improved gut health (I love it so much). I’ve tried drinking a cup of apple cider vinegar before but couldn’t stomach it (ironically). How much apple cider vinegar do you recommend having (and how diluted should it be)?

    1. You should always look out for a unfiltered and unpasteurised ACV. We call them the mother tincture that often comes with a cloudy mass. Mother tinctures have those probiotics and useful enzymes that are beneficial to your gut, on the other hand, filtered ACVs are devoid of such benefits. As for doses, anything between 2-4 teaspoon 15-20 ml with a glass of water, before or after meals would do. I hope that clears some of your doubts Anshula 🙂
